Working hard

Ahh! What am I doing? I have always used my computer for business and keeping in touch via e-mail. Never have I blogged and only recently have become a facebook fan. This is truly a new frontier for me. I strongly believe when you stop learning you stop growing and become stagnate. Not my cup of tea. So here we go.

Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,

I want to work hard for Jesus. That may sound corny but as Christians we should be about His business everyday. Whether it is displaying honesty and integrity on the job, being the Godly spouse/parent he has called us to be, or serving in the church. Everything we put our hand to, even the most mundane, should be opportunities to work for Jesus. Helping our neighbors and the less fortunate, being the hands and feet of Jesus. Imagine the change that could be made for God's Kingdom if we all "worked with all our heart". Imagine the lives that would be transformed and added to heaven. Colossians 3:24 goes on to say since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. We have to stop looking at life in the moment and start looking at it in the scope of eternity. God doesn't care what your resume looks like he only wants us to say," Here am I Lord use me".
