Well we are almost there 4th grade and year 2 of homeschool. Grace is so excited to start this year and so am I. Summer has been great for the break and all but I am looking forward to having a routine back. I like to have a plan and that is why we are using A Beka again this year. It is a structured curriculum and I like that. I have found that it keeps us on task but if it is too repetitive or if it is simply work for the sake of work I can adjust it to what Grace needs. We are changing our science curriculum from A Beka to Apologia. I am really anxious to get it started. We have heard nothing but good things about it.
Tonight was the first meeting of Christian Home Educators of Carthage for the school year. I love these ladies. They are so supportive of one another and are open about experiences they have had and for them what has worked or not. Great visits, lots of laughs.
I am believing for an amazing year for our family and our friends who homeschool and those who don't. I am praying that God will bless our children with the knowledge and wisdom they will need for this year and the years to come. I am praying that our children's faith in Jesus will grow deeper and stronger through God's word and our example.
