What a Day

Today has been great. Dustin took care of a few things in town today while we had school. While he was out he ran by Lowe's and picked Grace up her first sled. She was so excited. We all bundled up and Dustin hooked it onto the truck with a strap. He drove and I took pictures from the back. A few wipe outs and tons of fun and laughter later we headed for the house. I do not think Grace has ever been so cold.
I hate to be cold but looking back over our pictures and realizing the memories we made makes it worth it all. She will always remember her first outing on her new sled, how fast Dad drove, and how Mom sat in the back freezing but got good pics.
The day is not over. There is still supper time and then basketball practice. Still more opportunities to make more memories and to shape the character of the young woman that our beautiful daughter is becoming.
Lord, help me to be ever vigilant for teachable moments, ever cautious of my words that they build and not tear down. May I always be faithful to Your Word and the call You have on my life as a Your daughter, Dustin's wife, and Grace's mom.
